Los Gatos as a community has a tremendous resource that should be further leveraged to help Council members and Town staff manage our Budget and work thru strategic, and near term financial challenges – we have in Town well qualified and experience finance executives who would volunteer their time and knowledge to better our community’s well being. Further, Council members have testified in the two recent years when citizens were first brought to the Finance Committee, that they have learned more and made better decisions for our financial well being. The benefits are apparent, and these qualified folks the Council will choose, should have voting rights to make recommendations to the full Council for Budgeting, including fund management of operating expenses facing our Town and our investment strategies. Lets build on resident VOLUNTEER resources to advise our Council, and assist Town staff on such financial matters as the Council may determine. VOTE YES
