North 40 and the EIR

The Town of Los Gatos will be the Lead Agency and prepare an Environmental Impact Report (EIR) for the North Forty Specific Plan. The Town has circulated a Notice of Preparation (NOP) to public agencies as required by the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). Through the NOP, the Town will solicit input from these public agencies on the scope and content of the EIR in connection with the North Forty Specific Plan.

The project description, location, and the potential environmental effects of the North Forty Specific Plan are contained in the NOP, which is available for review at the Community Development Department (8 a.m.-1 p.m., M-F), Clerk Department (8 a.m.-5 p.m., M-F), 110 E. Main Street; Town Library, 100 Villa Avenue; and by clicking on NOP.

A Scoping Session will be held on Wednesday, March 6, 2013, at 6:00PM in the Town Council Chambers (Town Hall, 110 E. Main Street, Los Gatos, CA 95030). The Scoping Session is part of the EIR process during which the Town gathers input from the public and other agencies on specific topics they believe should be addressed in the environmental analysis.

Your input on the North Forty Specific Plan is critical to the success and viability of the project. Residents have until Friday, March 15, 2013, to provide comments. Feedback can be submitted to Senior Planner, Joel Paulson, at 110 E. Main Street, Los Gatos, CA 95030, via e-mail at jpaulson@losgatosca.gov, or by phone at (408) 354-6879.
